When is the rental charged?

The rental is always charged when you collect the vehicle.

Which documents do I need to collect the vehicle?

A driving licence held for at least one year, an ID card or passport, and a credit card in the driver's name.

What does the basic insurance include?

Accepted Answer

The Basic package includes Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP), both with an excess. The Smart and Premium packages reduce the excess, and Premium adds cover for wheels, the underside and glass.

Can I take the vehicle across the border?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A Green Card for crossing borders is kept with the vehicle documents. Please let us know about any travel to other countries when booking or at pick-up.

What is the minimum rental period? Can I rent for 1 or 3 months?

Long-term rental starts from one month. We tailor the duration to your needs — 1, 3, 6 or 12+ months.

Which credit cards do you accept?

Accepted Answer

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Diners Club credit cards. The rental itself can also be paid with a debit card, but the deposit must be placed on a credit card in the driver's name.

Can I pick up the vehicle at one location and return it at another?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can collect the vehicle at one LIVCAR office and return it at another for a one-way fee according to our price list. You will see the amount before confirming your booking.

What is the procedure in the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle?

In the event of an accident, the renter agrees to:   record the names and addresses of everyone involved  secure the vehicle or move it to safety before leaving it  report the damage, even if minor, to the nearest police station and file a report  in the case of major damage or injuries, call the traffic police and immediately notify the nearest LIVCAR office  hand over the police reports and breathalyser results when returning the vehicle

Do I need to tell you about travel abroad?

Yes. Let us know which countries you are travelling to so we can prepare the paperwork. Pick-up and return outside Croatia are not possible.

Is there a maximum rental period?

No. The contract can be extended for as long as you need the vehicle.

Can I leave cash as a guarantee instead of a credit card?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately not. We accept credit cards only for the deposit. Single-use and virtual cards (Aircash, Revolut and similar) are not accepted.

What if I collect the vehicle with a partially full tank?

You return the vehicle with the same fuel level it had when you collected it.

How much is the deposit?

Accepted Answer

The deposit depends on the vehicle category and the insurance package you choose. You will see the exact amount during booking, before you confirm. It is released when you return the vehicle.

Is the offer available to both private individuals and businesses?

Yes, long-term rental is available to private customers and businesses alike. For businesses we issue a single monthly invoice for the whole fleet.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

You can change your booking at any time with no amendment fee. To cancel, use the link in your booking confirmation or give us a call.

Can there be more than one driver on the contract?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All drivers present their driving licence at pick-up and must meet the rental conditions. Additional drivers are added to the contract.

What if I exceed the included mileage?

The price includes up to 1,500 km per month. Additional kilometres are charged at the rate stated in your contract.

Can I extend the rental while I still have the vehicle?

Yes. Just call us during your rental and we will extend it to the date you need. Additional days are charged at the current rates.

What if my flight is delayed?

Enter your flight number when booking — we track your arrival and will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall even if your flight is late.

Yes, the deposit amount depends on the vehicle category and is stated in your quote.

The pick-up procedure takes 10 to 15 minutes.

What is included in the monthly price?

Accepted Answer

Rental with 1,500 km per month, fully comprehensive insurance and passenger insurance, regular servicing and repairs, seasonal tyres, registration and roadworthiness testing, and mandatory equipment. VAT is not included in the listed prices.

Which driving licence do I need for a passenger van?

A category B driving licence is all you need for our 8 + 1 vans.

Question 25

How much luggage fits in a 9-seater van?

Accepted Answer

With 9 passengers there is room for around 6 medium suitcases. If you need more luggage space, we recommend a van with fewer passengers.
